Forget Usain Bolt, Jonah was the world’s first and greatest ‘runner.’ Maybe he wasn’t quick but he sure knew how to run.
This ancient story is of a man who ran away and a God who ran after him.
It’s the final chapter of this adventure and we find our hero Jonah sulking and complaining before God. This whole story has been about God’s graciousness and Jonah has experienced it himself. But when God shows grace to his sworn enemies it offends him. Ever been offended by grace?
It’s just not fair.
