Life on the B-side
It’s time to grow a mullet and put on your baggy trousers. Remember those mix tapes from the 80’s? They were either love songs for your latest heartthrob or a collection of B-sides from the biggest singles.
Jesus teaches us the lyrics to a new life song – an alternative, revolutionary kind of life that is about having the right kind of attitude – in fact the right Be-attitude. Now, the life you’ve always wanted is closer than you think.
But how can those who are abused and marginalised find joy and blessing? Surely happiness is found elsewhere. In choosing the easy route and following the crowd. Not according to the upside down world of Jesus.
Life on the B-side is a blessed, joyful life. Its a joy that only God can give. Its a joy that no person can take.
