Some Frequently Asked Questions…

We don’t pretend to have all the answers but when we get questions, we do our best…

Why Debenham, Thurston & Eye?

We love these places.  They’re rural and expanding populations with a mix of community needs. We think we bring something unique as we serve those who wouldn’t normally come to any church. These are just three of many locations we are hoping to grow into around Suffolk over the next few years.

What makes Forge Sundays so unique?

The Forge Community Church aims to create an irresistible, contemporary church experience on a Sunday that offers moments of wonder and clear next steps for everyone to follow. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you can grow in your understanding of Christianity at these services.

What should I wear?

Casual clothes are the norm at The Forge. Jeans are more often than not, the order of the day. So feel free to leave the suit and tie at home!

How long does the service last?

The Sunday service at The Forge typically lasts about an hour.

What will the service be like?

On Sundays, drama, mixed media, contemporary music, and practical messages become the elements of your experience. There’s usually some participatory singing during the service, but the majority of the time is for you to experience and think through what you’re seeing and hearing. You can even see a service before you come! Services are streamed live at, where you can also watch the previous service afterwards.

Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything, or be singled out in any way?

At The Forge, you’ll never be put on the spot, singled-out, or embarrassed. As a visitor, you won’t be asked to participate in the offering.  You don’t have to sign anything or register your attendance in any way.  The only thing you might want to sign is a card to receive our weekly enews to explore more of the Forge beyond a Sunday, but that’s totally up to you.

What about my kids ?

Our Forge Kids programme provides an exciting experience for ages 0-11 alongside a youth programme for ages 11+ (all our kids and youth leaders are CRB checked). This allows both them and you to get the most from your Forge Church experience. Doors open 10min prior to start.  Our badged welcome team will greet you on arrival and be able to direct you and your children to the relevant areas.
