You are uniquely gifted to serve a greater purpose
Serving Teams are much more than just fulfilling tasks – it’s a place to make a difference, connect with others and work in partnership with a shared ambition.
If you have a heart to help, or are just interested in a ‘taste and see’, you’re not short of options; there are loads of teams to match you to the right team. Community is an intrinsic part of every team’s life; team is an amazing way to be known, build friendships and to support each other.
What: We want our kids to have as much fun as we do on Sundays. We want to create irresistible environments for every age group, places where they can have fun, build friendships, and grow in their understanding and relationship with God. Whether you’re interested in working with babies, toddlers, or school kids, we’d love to hear from you, as we have places available in our Tot Street ( 0 – 3), Little Village (3 – 5) and Uptown kids (5 – 11) teams.
What: Motion is our youth congregation; a place where 11-18 year olds can come, connect, have fun together as they explore what faith is, and how it relates to their lives. Run by a passionate dedicated team, whose heart is for young people, if you think that might be you, we’d love to hear from you.
When: Sunday evening (6.00pm-8.00pm)
Care and Support
What: We’re here to provide care and support for people, what ever stage of life and circumstance you find yourself in. We’ll provide a listening ear, practical support, and help connect you with people or services if needed. But our main role is to meet with, visit, listen to someone’s story and pray with them.
When: We need people available at all times of the week, to meet with people when they need it.
Meet & Greet
What: We want people to feel at home at The Forge. That’s why we’d love you to greet people with a warm smile as they arrive or tune in. This role is about ensuring that each individual is valued. If you’re interested in joining our team, then we’d love to hear from you.
What: We want to make it as easy as possible for those outside the church to become part of our community. If you love chatting to people, and want to help welcome and connect in newcomers, we’d love to hear from you.
We’d love you to assist in the upkeep of our database and oversee our registration of new comers and regular attendees
What: The furniture bank is an amazing way to impact the local community. We’d love you to search for and collect donated furniture, to add it to our store & to refurbish it (if necessary) before delivering to those in need.
What: On Sundays this team creates a warm & welcoming environment through the provision of refreshments. We’d love you to encourage community, remove barriers and grow friendships by providing for others.
What: We’d love you to help support our community by preparing our venues. Often this can be setting up spaces or packing them down, ready for teams or attendees. This role is perfect for anyone who would love to get to know others as you roll your sleeves up and assist.
What: Singing is an integral part of our Sunday Services. We’d love you to use your instrumental/vocal gifting to enable to the church to connect with God and with one another.
What: We want every individual, watching at home or in the building, to be able to connect and engage with what happens at The Forge on a Sunday. We’d love you to support the music and speaking teams, as well as the wider congregation, by setting up PA equipment, running sound checks, and controlling the PA desk during the service.
What: We want to create Sunday experiences that people love to attend. We think that lighting is helpful to creating the right atmosphere. If you’re interested in controlling lighting, or think you might be, then please sign up for a taste and see for this team.
What: We use engaging presentations, images and videos to support our gatherings. So if you think you can help us to set up visuals equipment, project the right images at the right times, to move from clip to slide, and back again, then we’d love you to sign up for a taste and see on this team.
What: We love our online church community. Through digital channels, you can very much be a part of who we are and what we do, no matter where you are in the world. Being part of this team is about making sure that these experiences happen. You’d be involved in setting up and running the equipment so that what we create can be experienced live online.
